About the Event
This is a virtual advanced 8-hour course designed to assist the health care provider prepare for the NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring Subspecialty Certification computer-based examination. A detailed electronic handout is provided and sample test questions are discussed. Topics include: equipment, uteroplacental physiology, fetal circulation, acid-base interpretation, uterine activity, fetal pattern recognition and interpretation utilizing NICHD terminology, intrauterine resuscitation, antepartum assessment and professional issues.

Registration Fee: $75
Space is limited and classes usually fill quickly, however a minimum of 14 registrants is required to hold this class. Class registration closes when there are 25 registrants.
Approximately 2 weeks prior to the class, you will be notified if the class has reached the minimum number and you will receive additional course information and a link for the handouts. In addition, just prior to the class, you are required to apply for the certification exam at www.nccwebsite.org. Proof of examination application must be presented at the beginning of class.
Presenter:
Carol Burke MSN, APRN/CNS, RNC-OB, C-EFM is a perinatal clinical nurse specialist with over 40 years’ advanced perinatal nursing experience as clinician, educator, leader and midwife. Carol is a published author and frequent speaker at national and local seminars. She is active with AWHONN, March of Dimes National Perinatal Advisory Committee, and editorial board for the Journal for Women’s Health. She has received many honors including March of Dimes Jonas Salk award for outstanding nursing leadership and APN of the year from Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.

Criteria for successful completion and receipt of contact hours for this educational activity includes:
1) Learner’s verification of attendance, 2) Learner attending the entire program and participating in all activities, 3) Learner submitting a completed evaluation form at the end of the program.

You will be allowed to reschedule a course once, if unable to attend the rescheduled date you will forfeit your full registration fee. No refunds are available.
